Morse 245 ii/II, published state, edition of 100 (90 printed). Signed in pencil lower right: 'John Sloan'; numbered in pencil lower left: '100 proofs'. Signed and inscribed in plate: 'John Sloan -'30' and 'The Green Hour - Angna Enters'. A fine impression in fine condition, printed on sheet measuring 9 1/2 x 11 inches; adhered to face mat.'The Green Hour' (L'Heure Verte) refers to the meeting of absinthe-drinking artists and intellectuals like Van Gogh and Lautrec in Paris bistros during the 'Belle Epoque'. Agna Enters (1907-1989) was a mime, dancer, composer, artist, and actress who was called 'America's Greatest Dance Mime' in the 1920's.
