Renaissance Brown patina. Number 7 in an edition of 12. Signed and inscribed on back of base: "D. De LUE / sc 1978 © 1987 7/12 / Tx". Sold as a pair with Adam. Cast at the Tallix Foundry in Beacon NY. Mounted on Vermont Verde marble base measuring 3/4 x 7 1/2 x 8 3/4 inches. In fine condition. "The tension and agony developed in the crouching contraposto of the figures recalls Michelangelo. The figures hide from the anger of God in the moments before the expulsion from Eden" from D. Roger Howlett "Donald De Lue: Gods, Prophets, and Heroes," 1990, pg. 189.
