Description: Wright 207; BMC 9250; Godfrey 87. Bohn edition, reprinted in 1851 from the original copper plate. Bohn edition impressions are characterized by the presence of a number in the top right-hand corner, lack of coloring, and double-sided printing. Signed in plate lower right: "Js. Gy. inv & fect.; inscribed in plate lower left: "Pubd. Octr. 6th 1798, by H. Humphrey. 27 St. James's Street"; numbered in plate upper right: "*207". Ttitled in plate below image: "Extirpation of the Plagues of Egypt; - Destruction of Revolutionary Crocodiles; - or- The British Hero cleansing e/y Mouth of e/y Nile". A fine impression in fine condition aside from minor foxing. A section of the lower left margin is trimmed very slightly; remaining margins measure between 1 3/4 and 2 1/4 inches. Verso bears Plate 209 from the Bohn edition, "Nelson's Victory or Good News operating upon Loyal Feelings".
