American (1896 - 1984)
Along Oregon Coast, c.1950
R.org JM-453, only known state. 10 in an edition of 50. Signed on stone lower right: "Jos. Margulies". Numbered in pencil lower left: "10/50". From the estate of the artist. A fine impression in fine condition aside from tape in upper corners and toning within matburn, with full margins.
In a newspaper article featuring Margulies' newfound fascination with the Pacific coast, the artist notes that "he's never found anything like the Oregon coast for 'windswept beauty in summer and fierce magnificence in winter.'"
