Titled in pencil lower left: “- Bassanello -“; inscribed in ink upper right on backing paper: “- Bassanello -“; inscribed in pencil lower right on backing paper: “I found this continuation drawn on the other side of page. V.” In fine condition aside from slight scattered foxing.

The town’s name was changed from Bassanello to Vasanello in 1946. This drawing shows the 12th c. Castle Orsini on the far left and the 10th c. church of S. Maria Assunta on the right. The town is situated in the province of Viterbo, north of Rome.
