Plate 54 from “Los Caprichos”. Harris 89. Most likely from the eighth edition, made in the Calcografia for the Real Academia between 1905 and 1907. Numbered in the plate top right: “54.”; titled in the plate lower center: “El Vergonzoso.”. Printed on very fine, thin, smooth, wove paper, typical of the eighth edition. A fine impression in fine condition, aside from previous restoration work to repair tears along the platemark, in particular one long tear extending along the right platemark edge, and another along the lower left platemark edge, as well as a tear in the center of the left margin and another in the top right. Original sheet measured 355 x 255 mm, this sheet cut to 317 x 248 mm.
