7×8IN.CM

1530-1550. Similar to Bartsch 25; TIB 25. An unrecorded copy in reverse of the Master of the Die print as described by Bartsch. The monogram of the artist is included in this copy. The text of the inscription is also of a different hand from the original. Verso bears collector’s stamps of Heinrich Füssili, (1755-1829) (Lugt 1008). A fine impression in fine condition aside from staining lower left at inscription and slight thickening in paper at left edge below clouds. Trimmed to within the platemark, with complete image borderline. Ex-collection Michael Berolzheimer.
