Signed lower right: ‘Gertrude Beals’.  From the estate of the artist.  In fine condition. Original backing bore title in GBB’s hand.  Verso bears framer’s notes for GBB: ’22 x 28 2 1/2 flat gilded oak 7′ gold mat’.This is the type of watercolor she was doing between 1895 and 1904.  After her marriage in June, 1904 she began to sign her work with her married name Gertrude Beals Bourne.
