Legrand began making images of ballerinas after 1892. Signed in pencil by the artist lower right. Published by Gustave Pellet (1859-1919), stamped lower right with his red monogram stamp (Lugt 1193). Pellet was Legrand’s publisher and friend from c.1890 until the death of the former in 1919. A deluxe proof on real vellum, printed with rich plate tone. In fine condition aside from small puncture hold in lower left margin, not extending to image, with margins measuring 3/4 – 1″ all around.
