Ginestet Pouillon 92. One of only two impressions recorded by Ginestet and Pouillon. This impression is annotated in pencil within the subject with the color terms “rouge, vert, bleu, jaune, noir, rose, and gris” to indicate where the colors would go. However, it appears that a further state was never pursued; there is no known color state. Signed and dated in the plate lower left: “Jacques Villon / 04”. Inscribed in pencil lower left margin: “1 Etat”; signed in pencil lower right margin: “Jacques Villon”. A fine impression with strong plate tone; in fine condition aside from creases in the top left corner and minor staining. Sheet measures 12 7/8 x 19 1/8 inches. From the collection of Professor and Mrs. Daniel Bell, Cambridge, MA.
