Signed on block lower left: “Gototei Kunisada ga”; information regarding the kabuki play inscribed on block upper half. Kiwame censor seal lower left. Publisher seal lower left: “Kawa-Sho (Eisendo)”. A fine oban tate-e impression in fine condition aside from pinholes in lower edge, adhesive residue and general toning, with no margins.

This print depicts Nakamura Utaemon IV in the role of Okaji, the wife of Danshichi Kurobei, in the kabuki play “Natsu Matsuri Naniwa Kagami” (The Summer Festival).
