Fine & Looney 259. Color trial proof outside of the edition of 10 (which is in black ink only). Initialed in plate lower right corner: “BS”. Signed, dated and inscribed in pencil lower right margin: “Spruance ’47 / P.B.S.”; titled in pencil lower center margin: “String Quartet”; inscribed in pencil lower left margin: “ed 10? Color Trial”. Artists monogram stamped lower right “BS” in red. A fine impression in fine condition aside from pin holes in bottom corners and across top margin, with full margins.
