Signed lower right: “Henry W. Rice”. Inscribed verso: “#626 / a gray day, / Fisherman’s Cottages / Ogunquit”. Verso bears watercolor of a beach house and boats with the inscription: “Castine, ME / Sept. 24 1886”. In fine condition aside from pin holes in upper and lower center edges, slight overall toning, and mat toning extending approximately 1/2″ into image on three sides.
