Number 3 in an edition of 9. Numbered, titled, signed, and dated in the lower margin. A fine impression in fine condition, printed from four carved blocks.
Artist’s Note:
Ginni Thomas, despite her conflicting testimonies before the January 6th Committee, most certainly influences her husbands preexisting prejudices. Her influence outweighs “Equal Justice Under Law” that is referenced in the print as crumbling from the court’s facade. I copied the pose of the main characters from a 1790’s John Faed’s etching titled “Tam O’Shanter and the Witches” to represent Clarence and Ginni Thomas in their exuberant dance as they celebrate their injustice on a backdrop of the ruins of the Supreme Court facade with the Lady Justice stature laying in ruin.
