This piece features the twin realities of our failure to recognize and deal with the Coronavirus pandemic. While vaguely abstract, the left figure casually enjoys a cocktail as the right figure throws up hands in an “I give up” gesture. Death masks stare back and the numbers exponentially show the monthly death toll up until this piece was finished in October of 2020.
