Signed in pencil lower right margin: “John Sloan”; titled in pencil lower center margin: “Nude Leaning over Chaise”; inscribed in pencil lower left margin: “100 proofs”; inscribed in pencil lower left margin: “Peter Platt, imp.”. Signed and dated in plate lower right: “John Sloan ’33”. A fine impression in fine condition aside from tack holes at the edges of the full margins. Sheet measures 12 3/4 x 9 1/2 inches.
Sloan wrote of this print: “This is more sensitive than some others of this period, but has also sufficient strength and perhaps beauty. I should have painted this subject.” (JS 1945-Morse p.301)
