Work also signed by Dominico Cunego (1726-1803): probably Piranesi is responsiblefor architecture in background and Cunego is the actual portraitist. Taschen 436; Focillon 928. From the first Paris edition printed c.1799-1809. Signed lower left: "I. B. Piranesius inventi" and lower right: "D. Cunego et Piraneseus sculpsevunt". A fine impression in fine condition aside from minor left crease and slight foxing in the full margins.
