BMC 7218, W & E 37, Hart 44. Bohn edition, reprinted in 1851 from the original copper plate and bound in the folio. Inscribed title in plate lower center: “La Belle Assemblêe. “Here, Love his golden shafts employ; here lights/His constant lamp: and waves his purple wings;/Reigns here and revels.” Milton”, inscribed lower right: “Pub’d. May 12th, 1787 by H. Humphrey New Bond Street.”, upper right numbered: “374”. A fine impression in fine condition aside from overall foxing. Bottom margin trimmed. En verso: two caricatures by James Gillray.
