In this collage, McCall reimagines one of the promotional photos of his band, Strange Beauties, composed of Antoine aka DeeDee Somemore (far left), Tracy Monroe (middle), and McCall (far right). The eclectic choice of buttons, yellow highlighter, and striking lines across the band’s countenances creates a punk rock aesthetic that is both edgy and glamorous. Through such collages, McCall brings to the forefront the lack of representation of Black LGBTQ+ people in punk rock.
