Number 2 in an edition of 2. Signed and dated in the bottom relief: “Dudley V. Talcott / 1938”. From the estate of the artist.

The Nordic Bowl is based on Talcott’s 1936 book “Report of the Company,” and depicts in relief scenes from the artist’s time aboard the North Sea fishing boat Norkap II between 1929 and 1935. This monumental presentation piece was commissioned by John K. Howard, who served with Talcott aboard the Norkap II in 1933. The only other cast belonged to Howard. 

Measures 13 3/4 x 18 5/8 x 18 5/8.
