Number 1 in an edition of 3. From the book and series, REWIND: MEMORIES ON REPEAT.
In the 1980s, Tony, Tracy Monroe and McCall were employed as clerks at Fantasy World, a sex shop in Philadelphia, PA. McCall takes a candid shot of Tony exiting the shop and frames it with money and blurred pornography magazines, referencing the sex workers who frequented the shop. These places also served as sites of sexual liberation for the Black LGBTQ+ community at a time–prior to the widespread accessibility of the internet and social media–when there were far less options for sexual exploration.
