Signed in plate lower left: “Piranesi F.”; titled in plate lower center: “A Veduta del Selpolcro di Pisone Liciniano su l’antica via Appia, oltre gli acquidotti / di Torre di mezza via d’Albano: il cui lavoro e’ tutto di terra cotta. B Sepolcro della / famiglia Cornelia, spogliato de’suoi ornamenti. C Rovine di altri antichi Sepolcri.” The paper is a Roman style paper, significantly thicker than that used in the Paris editions. A fine impression in fine condition, with centerline crease as issued, with full margins. Available as a pair with “Veduta…Casa Nerone,” for $4000.
