Howlett 15. Signed: “D. De Lue c. 1972”. Struck by the Medallic Art Company, CT (Inv. #71-174). Obverse: Mother and child sending husband/father off to war; inscribed: “Home and Country, 1776”. Reverse: “American Revolution Bicentennial 1776-1976, National Society, Daughters of the American Revolution.” This medal was the first bicentennial medal in America.
